Kane Marco is two years the senior of his half-brother, the famous Para-Natural Rights proponent, Professor Charles Excalibur. Marco was born to Excalibur's mother and Anthony Marco, a British Army comrade of Excalibur's father. All of them were stationed in India until malaria claimed the older Marco. Mrs. Marco remarried Excalibur and soon had another child-- Charles. Kane, like Charles, inherited his mother's spritual sensitivity, though he was unable or unwilling to control or hide its effects. After they returned to England, Charles' father had the boy institutionalized in the Cytorrak Asylum, under the care of a vaunted doctor. Unfortunately, this doctor had a dark secret, and he used the asylum as a playground for his sadistic games with the inmates. Kane discovered this secret early on, by communing with the scores of tortured souls that were trapped there. His knowledge led to his eventual torture by the doctor with his newest acquisition: the 'Larva Inferni', a torture device supposedly used in the Spanish Inquisition. This cursed object proved a powerful enough psychometric energy magnet to draw in all the tortured souls in the asylum, channeling them all directly through the now-deranged mind of Kane Marco.
Now the man once known as Kane calls himself 'Jagganath', 'Lord of the World'. The boy who was Kane remembers the stories from the streets of Calcutta about the procession of the carriage of Jagganath, and the faithful who would fling themselves before it to be crushed beneath its wheels. He is like that carriage now, and the massive spiritual energy he leeches from wherever he travels powers the irresistible force he wields.
Yes, definitely.
This idea is pretty much golden, and different enough from the Marvel Juggernaut to work on its own.
