Thanks! I can't speak to the accuracy of the scene, it's hard to pin down details in the Malazan books. It's so often hidden in spread out passages.

Yeah... That's why I love the Malazan books - it's so complex and it's hard to understand at moments.
Also everybody sees it in a different way.
