After finishing the X-Men, I thought it might be fun to do a few of their villains.

Mystique is reimagined as Akko.

'Akko' is the familiar name of Ari Anyoku, a famous courtesan of Edo's 'floating world'. She has been the lover of many of the country's most powerful leaders, and it is said that her beauty has brought down clans and spurred armies into battle. In Edo, she may have more political pull than the shogun's own representatives.

Ari's mysterious charms aren't natural, however. She is in fact a cunning fox spirit, and a master of disguise. She uses her powers to transform into whoever and whatever will satisfy her fancy.

Ari has become interested in Master Zenji's little school recently, recognizing the ghost of an old 'kouhai'-- and a man who just might be a child she was forced to abandon in Osaka years ago.

Sometimes I do, if I really like the idea. I am very busy with other projects recently, so it might be quite a while even if I do. Commissions are the only way to guarantee that I make something, and make it soon, but I'd love to hear your ideas regardless. I can always use good ideas!

Haha, no... Akko/Mystique was Onryou/Rogue's sempai when she was alive. They worked together, and Mystique was something of an older sister/mother figure. It's the sort of relationship that makes sense in the setting. In the comics they aren't actually related by blood, Rogue was adopted.
