Jidaigeki X-Men, Marvel's foremost mutant hero team reimagined as characters from historical samurai drama.
>Jubilee>Professor X
Wolverine is reimagined as Mujina.
The man who calls himself Ryouga has been wandering as long as he can remember. His past is a mystery even to himself, and one thing is clear-- he has lived a life soaked in blood. His fighting skill is superhuman, and his instincts are razor sharp. He is known to some as 'Mujina', for his paranormal skills and tenacity in battle.
Ryouga's former life seems to be linked to a shadowy organization known as the Manji-tai. The Manji-tai has ties to numerous secret government groups and a reputation for brutal efficiency when dealing with their enemies. Ryouga was once one of their agents, and it was in that time that he came into possession of the paired demon swords he now wields.
Toratsume and Ryuutsume are cursed weapons that bestow superhuman abilities on those who wield them. Toratsume (The Tiger's Claw) drinks the blood of its enemies to heal the wounds of its master. Ryuutsume (The Dragon's Claw) is said to be unbreakable, and will shatter any other blade it encounters. Of the members of the Manji-tai, only Ryouga was able to use two blades of such awful power. In recent days, he has deviated from his solitary nomadic life to live among Master Zenji's students for a time. One day he hopes to recover his memories and perhaps find some peace.
Yeah, the translation of his story is very good (as is the picture, btw).
Logan = Ryouga made me chuckle, not just because of the sound-alikenessity, but because it makes me associate this to Ranma 1/2. Now I will expect this Wolverine to have a lousy sense of direction.
