Gambit is reimagined as Chouhan.

Ren Dorobou came up in the streets of Osaka. He learned to cheat and steal to stay alive, and he was soon among the very best. He never knew his parents, but there had always been a rumor that there was kitsune blood somewhere in his ancestry. He grew strong, fast, and handsome, with a preternatural ease about himself.

This diamond in the rough was adopted into a gang of yakuza toughs who called themselves the Dorobou-gumi. He was a popular figure, the young prince of the bakuto (gamblers). His favorite pastime was the odds-and-evens dice game, earning himself the nickname 'Chouhan'.

Unfortunately, Ren's conscience (and a woman) caused him to break with the gang, forcing him to run for his life. His specialties are gambling, thievery, and gunpowder grenades. He has decided to use Master Zenji's school as a place to lay low for a while. That the school is currently occupied by several beautiful ladies may be a factor.
