Races from the Malazan Book of the Fallen.

--Potential spoilers below, I suppose.--

Left to Right: Jaghut, Thelomen Toblakai, Imass, Forkrul Assail, K'chain Che'malle.

I say "Founding Races" although the Toblakai are obviously not listed as such-- they are an offshoot of humans (humans+Thel Akai), but their origin is pretty darn ancient, so lets give it to them.

(It may be tough judging relative heights, but the Imass is 4'-4'6" tall)

Pretty good!! I'm now on MoI and the whole mix is unfolding. No Forkul Assail described yet, but the rest.
And I also thought for some reason that the Imass were taller. Maybe because they are mostly bones after the ritual...
Anyway, good work!!
And I feel the same here. No one to talk to about the books. I'm from Brazil and the books did not even come in Portuguese yet...

Funny, I never thought the Imass as small.. Just for whaever reason I always thought of them as tall despite what I read. Good Job. :) On Book 4 now as we speak..

haha, awesome line-up! I' was hoping someone would do that when I thought up the theme:)

Excellent entry!

I quite like your take on them, giving them all different "nationalities" and stuff. And the colours look great:)

Thanks!
I'm a huge fan, and I love the depth of the world he creates.

It's really deep because its not just him, he and Ian C Esslemont worked on the world together at coffee shops.

And so few others have read it! I know of one person who has that I can talk to about it.

Me too, and he's in Iraq!

Two archaeologists creating a fictional world (originally as an RPG setting, I believe), I guess it's no surprise that there is an astonishing level of detail and believability.

Oh and some of the characters.

Iskarel Pust vs Kruppe was one of the most hilarious character moments ever.
