Chambara Hero Green Lantern.
The second to last in this series!
Chambara Green Lantern is called the 'Lantern Bearer'.
The city of Edo is famously diverse, and famously dangerous. A true metropolis of feudal times, Edo is teeming with all walks of life. The police keep the order, apprehend criminals, and even act as fire fighters if the need arises. Haru Jyoudan is just one of hundreds of officers assigned to the sprawling city. He is a tireless worker, notable only for his devotion to his duty, unusual name, and for his seeming lack of any other personality traits. Secretly, however, this low-ranked samurai detective is a member of the Shogun's own secret police organization, the Lantern Brigade.
Haru Jyoudan is the incredibly gifted officer in charge of the city of Edo, which he manages through his duties as a constable and through a variety of other contacts inside and outside the city, on both sides of the law. Haru reports to the mysterious Commander Owa, as one of many secret agents positioned strategically throughout Japan. He has been behind countless arrests of smugglers, kidnappers, and counterfeiters, and has even foiled a couple of attempts to seize control of the country. Only a handful of people have even an inkling of Haru's true identity, and he works hard to maintain a level of mediocrity of character so as to keep it that way.
When operating as an official Lantern Brigade agent, Haru brandishes a specially made police lantern, intoning the famous words of the brigade loyalty oath.
