Chambara Hero Nightwing.

Daisuke Guren was the very first student of Nobu Akamori and the first member of the Kōmori Yasha's elite ninja team. He was adopted by the samurai after the death of his parents. His mother and father were street performers, who performed acrobatics and feats of dexterity for the amusement of passers-by. They were murdered by a yakuza gang when they refused to pay an exorbitant "protection" fee.

Under Akamori's tutelage Daisuke honed his skills as a shinobi and began to fight back against the injustice and corruption that plagued Osaka. Eventually Daisuke outgrew his place at Akamori's side, and now he often works independently on special missions for the clan.

Daisuke has cultivated a public image as the terrible Karasu Tengu, a type of demonic crow creature. Like his master, he uses his enemies' own fear against them. That, combined with a talent for acrobatics, ninja tricks, and twin kodachi, make him a formidable figure in the fight for justice.
