Working through a few redesigns of the classic Aquaman.

This is a youthful, sleek design that I feel would work okay underwater. I have some other ideas that are completely different.

What are your thoughts on the costume design?

This looks a little more Garth with the shorts and all, but I'm digging it. I really like the boots.

I like this design a lot! I like the idea of incorporating the "A" into the tunic. And I like the inversion of the color scheme. And I love that you kept the scales. I really dig the scales. Yay for scales! The shorts do skew it younger, but this would be perfect for the Superhero Cocoa Aquaman challenge- you could add some glow sticks and enter him as Rave Culture Aquaman!

with the shorts and all it would be a better fit for Aqualad. It looks pretty cool with the inversion of the colors it would make sense for Garth in a Kid Flash/Speedy reverse sort of way.

wow, thank god i saw this AFTER finishing up the details in my design, because if not, it would have influenced the hell out of mine!

I'm really digging the flip on the color scheme. Honestly, what i enjoy about your design is your capacity to take everything about aquaman and just throw it out the window and just go at it with a fresh start. very cool, and still very aquaman. stay tuned, since i'll probably be posting mine at some point later on. : )

ah, yeah. Before getting into mine, reading this was really helpful. [link] Its a run-down of all of his important costumes.

i kinda tried to distill the more important elements of each and create something new. maybe the link will help you out in a different way. good luck!
